Meaning of entries and buttons
State
Shows the connection status of your system in the wireless LAN. In the
infrastructure mode this field shows the physical address (MAC address)
of the AccessPoint. In the adhoc mode the field shows the virtual MAC
address that is used by all subscribers in the adhoc network. If
Scanning
is shown, then your system is searching for a partner (e.g. AccessPoint)
for a radio connection.
Current Tx Rate Shows the transfer rate of the current connection.
Current Channel Shows the channel of the radio connection.
Throughput Shows the actual data throughput rate (bandwidth;
Tx:
Transmit,
Rx:
Receive).
Link Quality
Shows the quality of the connection.
Signal Strength
Shows the signal strength of the connection.
Disable Radio Click on this button to deactivate the wireless LAN in your system.
Enable Radio Click on this button to activate the wireless LAN in your system.
Rescan All available channels are searched for an AccessPoint or a system in the
wireless LAN. If the signal strength or connection quality is poor, a better
connection is searched for the next time the channels are scanned.
