Frequencies
Wireless network cards and adapters are intended for operation in the ISM (Industrial, Scientific,
Medical) frequency range between 2.4 and 2.4835 GHz in accordance with the IEEE standard
802.11b. As each of the 14 usable radio channels requires a bandwidth of 22 MHz due to the DSSS
(Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) process, a maximum of three mutually independent channels
(e.g. 3, 8 and 13) are available. In the following tables you will find the channels permitted in your
country:

Using module
If you purchased the wireless LAN option, the integrated wireless LAN module is already installed in
your Tablet PC. Under normal circumstances, it should not be necessary for you to remove or re-
install it. The wireless LAN module has been configured to support the operating system with which
your Tablet PC shipped.
The ON/OFF switch located on the cover turns the wireless LAN module on and off. You should
switch the module off when it is not in use in order to maximise battery life.
