Configuration utility
There are two methods of calling the configuration utility:
•
by double-clicking on the wireless LAN radio icon in the toolbar
•
with Start - Programs - PRISM Wireless LAN Configuration .
The configuration utility consists of the four tabs Status , Configuration , Encryption and About . The
possible settings are described in the following.

As in Windows XP and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition the configuration of a wireless
LAN is integrated in the operating system, only the tabs
Status
and
About
of the
configuration utility are available under Windows XP. All other settings for a wireless LAN
are made directly in the operating system.
If you deactivate the network functions in Windows XP, you can configure your wireless
LAN with the configuration utility. The tabs
Configuration
and
Encryption
are then also
active under Windows XP.

For this purpose, select Start - Connect - Wireless Network Connection - Advanced or
Properties .

Select the Wireless Networks tab and deactivate the function Use Windows to configure
my wireless network settings .
"Status" tab
The
Status
tab contains information on the status of the wireless LAN connection.
