TURBOTEST 500B User’s Guide

Do the following to the TURBOTEST 500B

3 Return to the [OPM] test mode.

4 Attach the APC connector on the reference cable to the OPM Port.

5 Attach an adapter to the connector at the other end of the reference cable.

6 Attach the reference cable on the Optical Light Source to the adapter on the TURBOTEST 500B

reference cable.

7 Press the [

soft key to select the required wavelength.

8 Press the [MENU] key to access the [OPM MAIN MENU] screen.

9  Use either [UP] or [DOWN] arrow key to highlight the [REFERENCES] option.
10  Press the [SELECT] soft key to access the [OPM REFERENCE] screen.
11  Press the [SET REF] soft key to display the {OPM SET REFERENCE] sub-screen. The reference value

will be displayed on the sub-screen.

12 Press the [SET] soft key to save the displayed reference value.

Once completed, the unit is now measuring optical loss from the Optical Light Source to the

TURBOTEST 500B.
