4.12 Buttonhole sensor PCB
Disassembly:
1. Remove
covers.
2. Remove
CFL
(

).
3. Remove thread tensioner (
p. 40/41
).

Carefully lift buttonhole sensor
(17)
using a screwdriver on the clip
of the presser foot bar guide
bearing.
5. Turn sensor to front and pull out.
6. Replace
sensor.
Assembly:
1. Guide new sensor into the bore and
place in position.
2. Carefully press clip onto presser
foot bar guide bearing until it
engages.
3. Refit thread tensioner (
p. 40/41
).
4. Place ribbon cable in such way that
it does not touch moving parts.
5. Refit CFL light (

).
6. Refit
covers.
7. Calibrate buttonhole (
p. 91
).
8. Carry out a functional check.
9. Sewing-off.
4.13 Main motor (complete unit
only)
Disassembly:
1. Remove
covers.
2. Pull motor connection cable out from guide
channel (remove clip).
3. Remove ventilator fan (

) which is press
fitted onto motor shaft.
4. Remove the two securing screws (

).
5. Remove the motor.
Assembly:
1. Fit new motor and fasten with the two
securing screws (

).
2. Adjust belt tension. Check for ease of
movement.(

3. Refit ventilator fan.
4. Thread motor connection cable into guide
channel (fasten clip).
5. Refit
covers.
6. Calibrate speed – Service Program test 4f
(
p. 84
).
7. Carry out a functional check.
8. Sew-off.
Attention!
Position the ferrite insulator
to face outwards, in order
that the cable cannot come
into contact with any other
moving parts. The cable
must be held with the clip
as taut as possible in order
that it cannot come into
contact with the hook drive
crank
