3i Feed-dog drop light barrier:
What to test:
•
Switching on the feed-dog drop activates the light barrier, and the bar
display lights up in green.
Repairing note:
•
Remove base plate. Check light barrier for dirt. Clean if necessary.
•
Check feed-dog mechanical functioning. Adjust if necessary.
•
Replace
S-Print.
3j artista 640 lower thread indicator:
What to test:
•
Insert filled bobbin and bobbin case. Close lid.
•
Pulling the lower thread lights up the respective signal field.
Repairing note:
•
Check lower thread indicator clamping and position in the lid.
•
Check the cable for resistance, deformations, tears or breaks.
Replace if necessary.
•
Check
connectors.
•
Replace lower thread indicator.
•
Replace
S-Print.
3k Upper thread indicator:
What to test:
•
From below insert thread loop into thread tensioner up to the
thread regulator spring. Move thread regulator spring with thread
loop up and down.
•
The bar display lights up in green if the sensor is active.
Repairing note:
•
Check settings of thread regulator spring mechanics. Adjust if necessary.
•
Check light barrier for dust or dirt. Clean if necessary.
•
Check if thread regulator spring is broken, dehooked or bent. Replace thread tensioner if
necessary.
•
Check RET-Print and S-Print connectors for deformations. Replace if necessary.
•
Check RET-Print and S-Print cables for deformations, tears or breaks. Replace if necessary.
•
Check RET-Print functioning. Replace if necessary.
•
Replace
S-Print.
