4.5.2
Operating states of the pneumatic system
The following conditions should be fulfilled, in order that the
desired pneumatic operating states listed below can be
achieved:
Desired pneumatic
operating status
Requirement
Comment
Zero-leakage
Tubing connected with care
–
Fast reaction
Sufficient pressure supply via
pneumatic supply plates or vertical
pressure supply plates. For width of
65mm via adapter and right end plate.
Valve terminal VTSA... exhaust
through all exhaust plates,
exhaust port cover or adapter
plate and right end plate
Trouble-free
Non-return valves in common exhaust
line
This applies when several systems
with centrally ducted exhaust are
used
Two or more
pressure zones
Limiting the pressure zones by means
of seal plates (width 18 ... 52 mm) with
duct separation.
Width 18 ... 52 mm:
Subsequent conversion possible
(see Chapter 5)
Vacuum or
low-pressure
operation
External pilot air (pressure range for
widths 18 ... 52 mm see Appendix A,
Tab. A/6)
Note the requirements for operat-
ing the valve terminal with
vacuum or low-pressure in the
Section 3.5.5 Vacuum/low-pres-
sure operation.
EMERGENCY STOP of
pressure zones
Guarantees the functioning of the
pressure regulating valve for the pilot
air despite the overall supply being
switched off
The regulator regulates the pilot
air of all the valves on a valve
terminal
Slow start-up after
EMERGENCY STOP
If control signals are present, the pilot
air must be applied immediately after
being switched on with at least the min-
imum pressure specified in Appendix A,
Tab. A/6 (width 18 ... 52 mm)
