Connecting the pneumatic lines

Caution

The identification of the working lines on the 90° connec-
tion plate refers to the position of the 90° connection plate
pre-fitted by Festo (see Fig. 3/7).

It is possible to mount the 90° connection plate with the
exit for the working lines in the direction of the valve base
level, but this is not supported by Festo because the
identification of the ports is no longer correct in this
direction of mounting.

Note

•

Use blanking plugs to seal all ports

not

required for the

functioning of the valve terminal.

•

If the VTSA... valve terminal is to be operated in con-
formity with the ISO standard, the pilot exhaust air will
be vented non-ducted directly at the valve.

•

If the pilot air is to be vented ducted via port 12, the
valve terminal can, under certain circumstances, no
longer be operated with ISO valves from other manufac-
turers. Observe the instructions from the valve manufac-
turer in this case. Conversion of the valve terminal to
ducted pilot exhaust is described in Chapter 5.4.1.

Mount the threaded connector or the silencers according to
the table below. The position of the pneumatic ports is shown
