1.4.1 Parameters of the MPA pneumatic modules
The following parameters apply in general to all electronic
modules of the MPA pneumatic modules. The electronic
modules types VMPA...−
D2 −8 and VMPA...− D2 −4 have further
parameters for the diagnostic functions (see section 1.4.2).
Module parameter: Monitoring of the CPX module Handheld
Function no. 4828 + m * 64 + 0 m = module number (1 ... 47)
Description Monitoring of the possible faults can be activated or deactivated (suppressed)
for each module independently. Active monitoring causes the following.
The fault is:
displayed via the fault LEDs.
sent to the CPX bus node
Bit Bit 2: Undervoltage of valves (V
VAL

Values Bit 2 Setting:
0 inactive
1 active (default) [Active]

Note Monitoring can also be set for the complete CPX terminal (see CPX system
manual).

Module parameter: Fail safe channel x
Function no. Access to these module parameters is made via protocol−specific functions
(see the bus node description).
Description Fault mode channel x: Hold last state
Fault state (presetting)

Note With the aid of the so−called Fail Safe parameterising, you can specify the signal
status which the outputs are to assume in the event of Fieldbus communication
faults (see also CPX system manual).
