NOTE
If you get “lost” during the configuration ses-
sion, continue to press the Reset/Save switch
until a longer beep sounds and the Reset/Save
LED changes from flashing to steady illumi-
nation (indicates run mode). The configuration
session can then be repeated.
8.
When you feel proficient with Level 1
Configuration, select Keyboard Configuration 2 and
proceed to Level 2 Configuration.
C.
Level 2 Configuration.
IMPORTANT
The following configuration changes are for
training purposes only and are NOT intended
as a recommendation for configuration.
1.
General.
Configuration changes should be
determined before performing Level 2 Configuration.
For this sample configuration session, changes will
be made to Keyboard Configuration 2. Keyboard
Configuration 2’s “standard” configuration is shown
in figure 2-3.
The configuration changes that will be
performed in this sample configuration session are as
follows:
a.
Change 1—change auxiliary relay
output A (switch 4) to momentary operation.
b.
Change 2—change auxiliary relay
output B (switch 5) to eight-second timed operation.
c.
Change 3—add auxiliary relay
output C to Mode 1 (switch 6).
d.
Change 4—add a SignalMaster
pattern to Mode 2 (switch 7).
e.
Change 5—change Mode 3
(switch 8) from pattern #27 to pattern #35.
f.
Change 6—change the pods used
for utility patterns from pods 3 & 5 to pods 2 & 6.
Perform the configuration changes as
described below.
NOTE
The Reset/Save LED will remain flashing
while in the configuration mode. Also, a short
beep sounds when a switch is pressed and a
second short beep sounds when the switch is
released.
2.
Change 1—change switch 4 to momen-
tary operation.
a.
Enter the configuration mode as
described in paragraph 2-2.A.
b.
Press switch 10 to enter Level 2
Configuration mode (see figure 2-1). A beep is heard
and the Reset/Save LED will be flashing. The two
options now available are: pressing the switch to be
reconfigured, or pressing the Reset/Save switch to
save the current configuration and exit Level 2
Configuration mode.
c.
Press switch 4. See figure 2-4.
The control head display will indicate the currently
selected switch configuration as follows:
(1). Switch 2 LED through
switch 8 LED’s indicate the pattern (if any). The
steadily illuminated LED indicates the pattern
number’s tens digit; the flashing LED indicates the
pattern number’s ones digit.
(2). The row of LED’s below the
V-shaped display will emulate the SignalMaster
pattern (if any).
(3). The first three LED’s on the
left of the V-shaped display indicate which relay
output (if any) is activated by this switch.
(4). The last three LED’s on the
right of the V-shaped display indicate switch opera-
tion: push-on/push-off (O), momentary (M), and
eight-second timed (T).
Therefore; switch 4 is configured
with no pattern, no SignalMaster pattern, auxiliary
relay A activation, and push-on/push-off switch
operation.
