Drum gear - Checking the oil level

Move the machine until the inspection/filling holes are
in position for filling.

Fill with the requisite volume of new oil. See technical
specifications. Use transmission oil, see lubricant
specifications.
Ensure that the oil level reaches up to the lower edge
of the plug hole.
Clean and refit the plugs.

Place the roller on a level surface. Move the machine
until the drain/breathing holes are in position for filling.
Wipe clean, unscrew the plugs (1, 2) and drain the oil
into a suitable receptacle, capacity about 2 liters (0.5
gal.).
