When the wheel drive lock is enabled, the cycling motion
created by the wheel during moving is transferred to the
gear-chain assembly in the main frame.
When the wheel drive lock is disabled, the cycling
motion created by the wheel during moving is not
transferred to the gear-chain assembly. Hence, the
wheels only perform the transportation function and
no drive is transferred to the clutch mechanisms.
The wheel drive lock is switched to working position
with following procedure steps:
1. Step:
Pull the latch enabling the wheel drive lock
towards you by holding it with two fingers. The latch
will be released from its slot when pulled.
2. Step:
Insert the latch in the second slot rotating it by
90 degrees with respect to the initial position. The
easiest way to distinguish the initial slot and the second
slot is the slot depth.
Enabling the wheel drive lock
If the latch,
is left in the
shallow slot
, the drive lock is switched to
travelling position (used in transportation),
is left in the
deep slot
, the drive lock is switched to
working position (used in working).
3. Step:
Implement the 2 procedure steps above for the
other wheel (fertilizer drive wheel).
4. Step:
Repeat the procedure steps above by
reversing the Step 2 to switch the wheel drive lock to
travelling position.
Note:
The wheel drive lock extends the life of the
mechanical parts in question by preventing the
functioning of the gear and chain mechanisms
primarily serving between the wheel and clutch,
during transportation.
Planting is not realized unless the seed drive wheel
is switched to working position. Therefore, the first
procedure to be implemented when the field to be
cultivated is arrived is to switch the wheel drive lock
to working position.
