th
steps are repeated until a proper flow is
achieved. The adjustment is completed once the
desired seed flow is achieved.
Important:
Correct adjustment: is that “fertilizers pass
between the throttle and gear freely without being crushed”
but “
the seed/fertilizer flow stops completely
” when the
machine rises from the ground, i.e. motion wheel does not
rotates.
If the throttles are excessively tightened, it causes
problems such as seed and fertilizer damage, seeds to
fly out of the cell and gear and throttle component
damage.
Excessive distance causes uncontrolled seed and fertilizer
flow in cases of vibration.
Correct throttle adjustment is
vital for the consistency of the adjusted spread
amount.
Note:
The default throttle position is position B. Starting
to adjust from this position is useful in terms of time.
C.1.2.2.c. Throttle Resetting
In order the hoppers on the machine to spread equal
amount of seed and fertilizer, the throttles should have
same angle with each other. For prolonged use, the
wears occur in the contact points with the throttle
pressure springs and gears may distort the throttle
angle. It is essential to check the angle equality in
certain periods since the distortion of this angle will
lead to irregularities in the amounts of fertilizer to be
spread by the coulters.
The throttle angle is adjusted by using the metric 4 hex
head bolt in the back of the throttles. Rotation of this
bolt in clockwise direction increases the distance
between the throttle and the sheave while reverse
decreases this distance. The throttles are aligned by
following the steps below:
1. Step:
Throttles are switched to “A” (closed) position.
2. Step:
The status of the clearance between the throttles
and gears (sheaves) individually.

3. Step
:
The throttles having more or less clearance are
aligned (equalized) by rotating the (metric 4 hex head)
throttle adjusting bolt in the back.
