3.22. Load Effect Test
The load effect test function is mainly used to test the load regulation rate of the power
supply. The implementation principle is: the load is loaded with constant current at low,
medium and high levels respectively, each current lasts for a period of time, and the input
voltage is measured. Finally, calculate the voltage change
∆V
, the load regulation rate, and
the power supply internal resistance Rs according to the following formula.
∆V = V
I_MIN
− V
I_MAX
Regulation = ∆V ÷ V
I_Normal
R
s
= ∆V ÷ (I_ MAX − I_MIN )
Operation Procedures
1. Press
(Test) to go to “Test” function selection;
2. Rotate the knob to select “LOEF”, press
and screen displays as follows:

3. Configure the parameters;
4. Press
to start load effect test;
5. The display item in the readback area "
∆V
: 0.0000V" is the measured voltage
difference. "RA: 0.00%" display item is the test result, load regulation rate. And
"RS: 0.00m
Ω
" is the internal resistance test result of the power supply under test.
