Type of tool penetration.
When selecting any flank type penetration or in zig-zag, the CNC will request the cutter's penetration
angle (
).
For the level 1 threading cycle, the type of penetration is always radial.
Repeat the last threading pass.
Repairing part of a thread
Within the thread repair cycle, it is possible to do a partial thread repair.
Multi-start (entry) thread repair
Within the thread repair cycle, it is possible to do a multi-entry thread repair.
To program a multi-start thread repair operation, indicate the number of thread starts (entries) to
be repaired in the new field [N]. The CNC will calculate and run all the passes to complete the repair
of all the threads.
To enable this option, set bit 12 of general parameter CODISET (P147) = 1.
Face thread repair cycle
Within the thread repair cycle, it is possible to do a multi-entry face thread repair.
To select the type of tool penetration, place the cursor over the icon and press the two-
color key.
Radial penetration.
First-flank penetration.
Zig-zag radial penetration from the first center towards the first flank.
Last-flank penetration.
Zig-zag radial penetration from the first center towards the last flank.
Zig-zag penetration by the flanks.
To enable zig-zag penetration by the flanks set bit 10 of g.m.p. CODISET (P147) =1.
To select whether to repeat the last pass or not, place the cursor over this icon and press
the two-color key.
Do not repeat the last pass.
Repeat the last pass.
This icon defines the partial thread repair. The rest of the data to be entered are
the same as for the standard thread repair. The entry to the thread (start) is
calculated automatically.
Enter the starting and end point of the segment to be machined in their
corresponding boxes. Partial thread repair works for both outside and inside
threads.
To enable this option, set bit 11 of g.m.p. CODISET (P147) =1.
To repair face threads, use the front thread definition icon.
