If the chain is not sufficiently taut, does not start the device.
Do not begin work when the device is held only with one hand.
CHECKING THE COUPLING & SETTING THE SPEED IN IDLE MODE
• Whenever the tool is used, make sure that the chain is not powered when
idling.
• The idle speed is approx. 3000 revolutions/minute. Check this using a rev
meter.
• If the chain is powered when idling, the idle settings must be changed as
follows:
Turn the idle stop screw (T) anti-clockwise until the chain stops, then turn it a
further 1/4 turn in the same direction.
If this adjustment using screw (T) is not sufficient, even with fine adjustment,
turn the idling mixture adjustment screw (L) by half a turn.
• If the engine stalls when idling, adjust the idling speed as follows:
• Turn the idle stop screw (T) anti-clockwise until the chain stops, then turn it a
1/4 turn in the opposite direction.
• If this adjustment using screw (T) is not sufficient, even with fine adjustment,
turn the idling mixture adjustment screw (L) by half a turn.
• If the chain continues to rotate in idle mode in spite of the adjustments, contact
Customer Service.
