ADJUSTING THE CHAIN TENSION
• To avoid injury, never mess with the chainsaw
during operation.
• Stop the engine of the tool.
• Undo the nuts. Turn the chain tensioning screw clockwise to increase the
chain tension. Tighten the nuts again.
Note:
In a cold state, the chain is tensioned if it does not sag in the bottom part
of the chain guide. You should then be able to rotate the chain by hand around
the guide without much force.
Increase the chain tension if there is play between the chain links and chain
guide.
It is normal for a new chain to expand. The tension of a new chain must
therefore be checked at regular intervals.
Use a hook to remove the filter (No. 1) from the filling opening.
Clean the filter with petrol or replace it if necessary. Refit the filter.
When removing the filter, make sure that no fibres or dust can get
into the opening.
FUEL FILTER
Monitor the wear of the drive sprocket. If it shows signs of wear
and tear, it must be replaced. Do not replace the sprocket if only
the chain is worn and do not use a new chain if the sprocket
shows signs of wear. In order for the tool to operate correctly, it is
important that both parts are not worn.
DRIVE SPROCKET
AFTER SAWING - TRANSPORT
• Wear protective gloves when carrying the tool.
• To transport the tool, it must be carefully secured so that it cannot become
loose during transport.
• Carry the chainsaw by the handle and with the saw chain not running. During
transport and intermediate storage, the cutting unit must always be covered by
the relevant safety devices.
