Dialing sequence explanation
The following diagram explains the different components
of a typical dialing sequence required when placing voice
and fax calls from air-to-ground using a HSD Transceiver.
The components are described as follows:
•
The Fax Call Prefix is only used when sending
fax. The prefix indicates to the system the type
of service being requested.
•
The International Code of [00] is required for all
calls from the aircraft.
•
The Country Code, Area Code or City Code, and
Telephone or Fax Number are dialed the same as
ground-based calls.
•
The pound key [#] must be included at the end of
the dialing string to initiate (send) the call.
