Training mode
that, after completing a particular test, will show the cashier’s efficiency in that test expressed
in per cent. By pressing that button, you will see a measure of efficiency and a dialogue that
contains a detailed description of the cashier’s performance in individual tasks. The testing
window is very similar to the training window (see figure 6.4), but contains the extra Next
button that allows the cashier to skip the currently demanded task in the test. The usage of
this button automatically marks the skipped task as failed and assigns 0.
The remaining two buttons allow exiting the testing part of the training mode: the Train
Again button returns to the training mode window, the Exit button leaves directly into the
mode selection menu.
Individual tests contain these tasks:
Test 1 – PLU sale
A: PLU sale without entering amount
B: PLU sale with specified amount
C: PLU sale with twofold multiplication
D: Different PLU price
E: Completing the sale
Test 2 – Discounts and surcharges
A: Discount or surcharge on a PLU
B: Pre-defined discount and surcharge on a PLU
C: Discount or surcharge on a subtotal
D: Pre-defined discount and surcharge on a subtotal
E: Completing the sale
Test 3 – Completing the sale
A: Completing the sale in master currency
B: Other currency
Test 4 – Voids and refunds
A: Item voidance
B: Selected item voidance
C: Subtotal voidance
D: Multiplied item refund
E: Completing the sale
Note: All receipts produced in the training mode carry the words “
INVALID RECEIPT
” and are
not included in the fiscal data of the system.
