POS-4000 Programming
Initialisation
When used for the first time the POS-4000 has to be initialised. Initialisation is performed
by the following procedure: Press
OK
without entering the login name and password in the
login dialogue immediately after the application launches. Select the programming mode in
the Mode selection dialogue and press the
RESET
button afterwards. The initialisation takes
a while to run. After the initial set up it is only possible to perform initialisation if the monthly
Z report has been run.
Warning: Initialisation erases all programmed information, returns the software to the basic
settings and sets the default flag values. Only the cumulated totals (grand totals), ordinal re-
port numbers (Z1, Z2), and system flags for rounding are kept.
If the printer is not properly initialised, the application will not launch. Application launches
only after the problem(s) causing the printer to fail initialisation is (are) solved.
