GeoScan’s Image Capture feature is available
for any
general-purpose
images you may
need. However, for sensor placement images,
you will need to use a high-resolution camera.
See section 6.12.
Before using the Image Capture feature, ensure proper
environmental lighting. See section 5.3.2.
Never use GeoScan’s Image Capture feature for head modeling images. Use a
high-resolution camera. See section 6.12.
Whenever taking photographs, you need the subject’s written consent to be
photographed.
Capture digital still images as follows:
1
Ensure proper environmental
lighting. See section 5.3.2.
2
Position the scanner 30 cm (12 in.)
from the subject.
3
Point the scanner directly at the
subject.
4
Press the scanner’s
Image Capture
button.
An Image Capture window will appear with a progress bar.
5
Find the .png-formatted images in the directory set by
File
Preferences.
