This is the indentation in front of the
right ear’s cartilage flap.
front alignment sensor* This will be the nasion sensor in the GSN.
left alignment sensor* This will be the GSN sensor that is above
the left ear.
right alignment sensor*
This will be the GSN sensor that is above
the left ear.
vertex (REF/Cz) sensor* This will be the GSN sensor that is at the
top, center of the head.
Be aware that alignment sensors will be numbered differently, depending
upon a GSN’s channel count.
Initiate scanning. You have the choice of three methods for initiating
the scanning process.
•
Double-press the scan trigger of the handheld scanner.
The scanner continues to scan until the trigger is again double-pressed or the
onscreen Scan button is clicked.

Click the onscreen Scan button.
The scanner continues to scan until the onscreen Scan button is again clicked or
the trigger is double-pressed.
•
Press and hold the scan trigger of the handheld scanner.
The scanner continues to scan until the trigger is released.
Scan volume. This is the area in which the
GeoScan handheld scanner can
optimally scan the sensors of a Geodesic
Sensor Net (GSN).
