Safety Warnings
1.4.1
Personal Injury Risks
WARNING:
Drop hazard.
Maintain a solid grip on the GeoScan handheld scanner while scanning
the subject.
Cable entanglement hazard.
Ensure that all cables are managed such that neither
you nor your subject can be entangled in them.
Maintain subject isolation within the subject environment.
The power supply must be located outside of the subject environment under all
operating conditions.
Never simultaneously touch the subject and any component outside of the subject
area and never let subjects touch any component, other than the GSN that is being
worn, inside or outside of the subject area.
For EGI systems, the
nonsubject environment
is the area where non-safe items are
out of the subject’s reach (1.8 m [6 ft]).
