Scanning Tips
To scan efficiently:
Blank spaces
—in the 3D sensor cloud
.
The COM and S/N (serial number)
pedestals should not appear in the 3D sensor cloud that results from
scanning but, instead, should appear as blank spaces. These are
empty pedestals—they contain no electrodes and have no reflective
dots. If they do appear in the 3D sensor cloud, they need to be
deleted.
Other blank spaces in the 3D sensor cloud indicate areas where one
or more sensors that still need to be scanned.
Cable entanglement.
Do not wrap the scanner’s cable around the
subject or yourself. You can avoid this by holding the cable with your
right hand.
See section 5.3.1.
Clear, unobstructed view.
Before scanning, ensure that the view of all
sensor labels is unobstructed.
•
All sensors should be sitting upright.
•
All wires should be running alongside and/or pushed off of all
sensor labels.
Delete bad markers.
Before rescanning any bad markers that appear in the
3D sensor cloud, they must be deleted (
single-click + delete
).
