Stages of installation on the network
Summary of Pi6500 Pro network installation

At each workstation that will print to the
Pi6500 Pro:
• Install the appropriate printer drivers,
and connect to one or more queues.
• For computers that will use the
Fiery WebTools, install an Internet
browser.
• Verify the Pi6500 Pro in the list of
printers and run a test print.

Prepare a network node. Connect the
Pi6500 Pro to the copier and to the
network.
Configure UNIX, Windows NT, and Netware
(Novell) servers to specify Pi6500 Pro print
queues and Pi6500 Pro users.
Install printer files on the server.
No special configuration of AppleShare
servers is required.
On the Pi6500 Pro Control Panel, configure
Server Setup, Network Setup, Printer Setup,
PS Setup, PCL Setup, and Job Log Setup.
