This command sends ICMP echo request packets to another node on the
network.

- IP address or IP alias of the host. An IPv4 address consists
of 4 numbers, 0 to 255, separated by periods.
packet-size
- The payload size of the ICMP packet. (Range: 8-1400
bytes) The actual packet size excludes MAC, IP and ICMP headers.

When you enter the ping command, five ICMP packets are transmitted,
and the sequence number and round-trip time are displayed upon
reception of a reply.

- The normal response occurs in one to ten
seconds, depending on network traffic.
