function for defrost synchronisation, page 74
Controller - Software
The activation of the master/slave mode can be checked in the menu 6-2-1.
5.6.2.3 Special features and limitations
All defrost relays cut in at the beginning of the defrost. In the course of the defrosting, the defrost relays of the
evaporators are switched off individually and only depending on the defrost end temperature.
However, the transition to cooling is not performed until all synchronised refrigerated cases are
finished with the defrost. It is possible to perform the defrost on the master via a 230 V AC pulse sent
to the digital input D11/D12 (parameter
must be set to
, see menu 6-2-4).

All the characteristics of the defrost function such as defrost on demand, defrost via CAN bus and manual
defrost are preserved by the master case controller and should also be parametrised there (i.e. on the master).
Configuration
The master-slave function can be used with every controller type. In order to activate the master/slave mode,
the coding switch 4 on DIP switch 3 on all participating case controllers must be set tp ON. The change is only
adopted when the controller is restarted (switched off and back on again).
The set controller type and the activation of the master/slave mode can be checked in the menu Type
and Version (6-2-1).
The following points must be
