INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The Dynafit Cramp-In is a light aluminium crampon for movement in snow-covered terrain and was devel-
oped to minimise the risk of slipping. It meets the requirements of Standard EN 893:2010. The use of al-
uminium crampons is not recommended on rocks as they wear fast and can break, they grip worse in ice.
Only use the product for the purpose for which it was constructed and never burden it beyond its limits.

The correct use is shown in diagram B.

and should only use this tool if you master its correct use.
Components:
a) Front frame
b) Heel frame
c) Hitch (Salewa Lock System)
d) Attachment plate
e) Rocker lever attachment
f) Connection cable
g) Adjustment device
h) Belt
i) Closure buckle
Compatibility:
Only use the crampon with shoes pre-equipped for the Salewa Lock System (pat. pending) and with a
stiff sole. Pliable soles are not compatible with the Salewa Lock System. Please check the compatibility
of this attachment system with current shoe models using the product information on www.dynafit.com.
To fit the supplied attachment plate (d) to the shoe, please refer to your specialist dealer who does this
expertly.
Size adaption (please refer to the graph):
Attach the connection cable (f) to the front attachment points on
the front frame (a) for particularly small shoe sizes.
Adjust the size on the heel frame (b): loosen the screws on the ends of the heel cables (f) there. Rotate the
end of a connection cable 90 degrees inwards: you can move the end of the connection cable lengthwise
in this position and therefore select the size on the catch. Rotate the end of the connection cable 90
degrees back to the initial position at the desired position and tighten the screws. Also carry out this step
for the second connection cable.
Attachment of the crampon to the shoe (see graph):
Place the crampon in front of yourself. Guide the tip of the shoe centrally over the dashed line on the front
frame (a) and move the shoe forwards to the continuous line on the front frame (b). Ensure that the hitch
(c) is correctly threaded into the attachment plate (d) on the shoe.
Then guide the lower edge of the closure buckle (e) over the rear attach-
ment strip on the shoe and pull the shoe so that the buckle locks firmly.
The front (a) and heel (b) frames must be attached firmly to the shoe with no play. The connection cable
(f) must be tensioned tautly. If this is not the case, adapt the size again.
Guide the belt (h) around the shoe, regulate its length and close the closure buckle (i) by interlocking it.
Tighten the belt. The closure buckle should be located centrally at the front of the shoe uppers.
Check its fit by standing on it, rotating your foot when standing, kicking against it at the front and the rear
and therefore burdening and unburdening the crampon several times over. If a firm fit is not guaranteed,
check the size setting and whether the hitch (c) is correctly engaged into the attachment plate (d) on
the shoe.
ATTENTION:
Poorly set or negligently attached crampons can loosen when the shoe is used. Therefore,
check all the components prior to and during use.
WARNING:
When walking on snow, the danger exists that the snow beneath the crampon freezes fast and
that you slip over; ensure that you avert this risk by being careful and checking regularly.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before use, carefully check each product part. Diagram C
Double check all the components of this product for wear marks, chips, frayed or singed fibres, attrition,
bends and corrosion, and replace if needed.
WARNING
High temperatures, sharp edges, and contact with chemicals (for example acids) must be completely
avoided.
The instructions for use supplied with the product are always to be stored with the product. This product
is only to be used by appropriately trained and/or competent persons, or when the user is under the direct
supervision of such a qualified person.
WARNING
- If there is the least doubt about the safety of the product, it is to be replaced immediately.
- Any change to this product can reduce safety significantly.
D
LIFESPAN
The lifespan of the product is dependent on a number of factors, such as the manner and frequency of
use, UV exposure, moisture, ice, affects of weather, storage conditions, and dirt (sand, salt, etc.). Under
extreme conditions the lifespan can be reduced to a single usage or even less, if the equipment has
suffered damage (for example during transport) before ever being used. Please note: Products manu-
factured from synthetic fibres are subject to ageing even when not used. This ageing depends mainly on
environmental conditions as well as the impact of UV light.
Indications of the product‘s maximum lifespan:
The potential lifespan of metal products is unlimited, however as the actual lifespan depends on the previ-
ously named factors, Dynafit recommends exchanging the product always after 10 years.
E
CLEANING, STORAGE, TRANSPORT AND SERVICING
See diagram E for guidelines on correct storage and care.
Do not store close to sources of heat, or at extreme temperatures or subject to mechanical force (with
kinks, under compressive load, under tension) The product should NEVER come in contact with corrosive
chemicals such as battery acid, solvents, or chemical salts.
Ensure that the product is kept safe during storage and transport and is protected from damage.
If necessary (e.g. contact with dirt or saline water), wash the product in lukewarm water and and rinse with
clear water (max. 30°). Make sure that the product does not come into contact with chemicals. Leave to
dry at room temperature.
The product may neither be modified nor be repaired.
Feel whether the spikes on the crampon are still sharp. If they are blunt, they must be carefully resharp-
ened. Use a file for this and not a grinding machine (please refer to the graph).
Hitch (c), attachment plate (d) and connection cable (f) are available as spare parts: replace them when
worn exclusively with original parts from Dynafit in mint condition (please refer to the graph).
