Coding of plug-in adaptors
The display on some Dräger anaesthetic machines
indicates whether the Vapor fitted is a Halothane,
Enflurane, Isoflurane or Sevoflurane Vapor. The
anaesthetic-agent-specific coding on the back of the
plug-in adaptor on the Vapor will be read by a sensor in
the anaesthetic machine and displayed on the monitor.
Faulty assembly (using the wrong anaesthetic-agent-
specific plug-in adaptors) will result in a faulty display.
As the coding does not analyse the anaesthetic agent
delivered by the Vapor, it cannot guarantee that the
display is correct when the Vapor has not been correctly
filled.
