4.6.22 Camera system
Task
Recording the printed image and comparing the recorded image with a
reference image. Sending the result of the evaluation to the Label Rejec-
tion Controller.

Trigger signal from an incremental encoder.

The camera system consists of the camera module that is installed in the
printing system, a control computer that is installed on the printing system,
and a camera control panel that is installed on a swivel arm.
During the "Teach-in phase" at the beginning of a print job, the color line
camera in the camera module completely records several passing printed
images, and uses this information to generate a reference image that basi-
cally represents the average of the previously seen images. During the
PDF comparison this reference image is compared with the original PDF
file. The result shows whether or not the desired image was printed.
