Liquid Leaks

Worn-out seal in sample cell end cap
Replace the seal (see

Missing or worn-out cell O-rings
Check the ends of the cell to verify that the O-rings are in place and in good
condition. If any O-ring has a hole size of less than 0.5 mm, replace it. If a
white Teflon O-ring is discolored, replace it (see
O-rings should last for approximately 50 extractions. To view the number of
extractions the ASE 150 has performed, go to the
EXTRACTION COUNTERS

Leak in solvent flow path
Remove the right-side panel of the ASE 150 (see
). Inspect the
following fittings for leaks (see
): pump check valves, pressure

Top plate heater malfunction.
Cause:
Incorrect settings of the oven voltage switches on the ASE 150 rear
panel.
Action:
Set both oven voltage switches to match the voltage from the power
source at the installation site: either
110
(for voltages between 100
and 120 Vac) or
220
(for voltages between 220 and 240 Vac). For

Action:
If selecting the correct switch settings does not correct the problem,
contact Dionex for assistance.
Error 024
Cell size wrong.
Cause:
The cell type specified in the method is zirconium, but the cell size
specified on the
SETUP
screen is less than 66 mL. (Zirconium cells
are available only in 66 mL or 100 mL sizes.)
Action:
Select the correct cell size on the
SETUP
or, if you are using a stainless steel cell and the cell size is correct,
change the cell type on the
METHOD
