Progressive scanning
A method of updating the image in which the lines of each
frame
are drawn in a sequence, without
interlacing

Pulldown
The process of converting a 24 fps film footage to a video
frame rate
(25 fps for
PAL
/
SECAM

NTSC
) by adding extra
frames

Resolution
The number of
pixels
in an image, usually represented by the number of pixels per line and the number of lines (for example, 1920 x 1200).
