4.3.22 Friction Bar Assy
1) Before proceeding, assure that the friction rollers are open; the flat part of the friction
bar assy must be upward.
2) Remove the Main Rear and Front Covers (refer to chapter 4.3.4 and 4.3.5).
3) Remove the platen assy (refer to chapter 4.3.16).
4) Extract the friction supports by simply pulling them upward from their location.
5) Remove the mechanical assy (refer to chapter 4.3.20).
6) Remove the circlip retaining the friction bar assy to the mechanism.
7) Remove the friction bar assy by simply extracting it from the left side.
Replace the friction bar assy following the above instructions in reverse order.
NOTICE: the friction bar assy must have a proper position coherently with the sensor
tuning values stored in NVM.
