Managing RADIUS
Additional RADIUS Attributes
The tables in this section contain lists of additional RADIUS attributes that the access
server supports.
General Session Attributes
The following table defines the general session RADIUS attributes:

Definition
Service-Type
Type of link requested, or change in type of link. Used in
both Access-Request and Access-Accept packets.
• Login — Delivers a dedicated connection to the
specified host, using the specified protocol (Telnet,
rlogin, LAT).
• Framed — Delivers a network (framed) protocol
connection (PPP, SLIP).
• Callback-Login.
• Callback-Framed.
• Administrative User — Delivers a NAS prompt with
automatic privilege status.
• NAS-Prompt — Delivers the NAS user interface.
• Callback-NAS-Prompt.
Session-Timeout
Indicates the maximum number of seconds of service to
be provided to the user, before (mandatory) termination
of the session. Used in Access-Accept packets.
Idle-Timeout
Indicates the maximum number of consecutive seconds
of idle connection allowed to the user before
(mandatory) termination of the session. Used in Access-
Accept packets. The DECserver does not currently
support per-port idle timeout for interactive sessions.
