Locking Your System
The system unit is protected by a key lock on the top cover which prevents unauthorized
access to the hardware inside the unit. Turning the key to the left unlocks the top cover.
When the cover is locked, you cannot remove the top cover and back panel. Turning the
key to the right locks the system unit and allows you access to install or remove system
components. When the system unit is unlocked, push the top cover to open. Figure 2–6
shows the system lock in the unlocked position.
To remove the top cover, pull the cover off from the rear of the system. When you remove
the top cover, the system cannot be turned on.
