Maintenance Practices

1. General

The following maintenance practices describe how to remove, install and test the flight environment

systems. Refer to the manufacturer’s manuals for further data.

2. Remove/Install a Pitot-Static Instrument

A. Remove a Pitot-Static Instrument

Detail Steps/Work Items

Remove the instrument panel cover.

Refer to Chapter 25-10.

Disconnect the pitot/static hoses from the rear

of the indicator.

(3)

Remove the mounting screws.

Hold the instrument.

(4)

Remove the instrument from the panel.

B. Install a Pitot-Static Instrument

Remove the port cover from the new instrument.

Install it on the replacement instrument.

Transfer the pitot/static fitting(s) to the new

instrument.

Put the instrument in position in the panel.

Install the mounting screws.

indicator.

Do a low-range static leak test.
