Maintenance Practices

1. General

The following maintenance practices describe how to do test procedures on the rudder control system

and how to adjust the rudder control system. Refer to Section 55-40 to remove/install the rudder.

WARNING:

WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE AIRPLANE CONTROLS, MAKE SURE

THAT THE AREA AROUND THE CONTROLS/CONTROL SURFACES

ARE CLEAR OF PERSONNEL/EQUIPMENT. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS,

INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO CONTROL SURFACES

CAN OCCUR.

WARNING:

WHEN YOU COMPLETE WORK ON THE CONTROLS, MAKE SURE

THAT YOU REMOVE ALL LOOSE ITEMS/TOOLS FROM THAT AREA.

LOOSE ITEMS/TOOLS CAN PREVENT FULL MOVEMENT OF THE

AIRPLANE CONTROLS. THIS CAN CAUSE DEATH OR INJURY TO

PERSONS.
