3. Remove/Install the Hardware at the Inner and Outer Mounts of the Main Landing-Gear Strut

B. Remove the Hardware from the Inner/Outer Mount of the Main Landing-Gear Strut
Refer to Figure 1 - 2.
Detail Steps/Work Items Key Items/References
(1) Remove the applicable wing. Refer to Chapter 57-10.
(2) Remove the applicable main landing-gear strut.
(3) Remove the hardware from the inner mount of
the main landing-gear strut, as follows:
Note: The inner mount is not removed.
Note: The bolts for the forward side and rear side are different in length. The
washers are installed on the bolt side and the nut side.

Remove the nuts, bolts and washers at the
forward side of the inner mount.
S
Remove the nuts, the bolts and the washers
at the rear side of the inner mount.
There are six nuts, six bolts and
12 washers.
There are four nuts, four bolts and eight
washers.
(4) Make sure that the spar bridge, at the location
of the inner mount, is not damaged.
Look especially for cracks, chips or
delamination.
(5) Replace the hardware. Refer to the installation of the hardware
