9.1.2.2 Processing images for high accuracy (PPK)
If a valid PPK license is found for this aircraft and this flight date, the high accuracy trajectory post-
processing is automatically launched.
You will then be prompted to enter base station data (RINEX files, reference coordinates and reference
antenna offset).
9.1.2.2.1
Select base station files
The application supports base station files as RINEX.
RINEX (Receiver Independent EXchange Format) is a data interchange format for raw satellite
navigation system data. Converting any base station file to RINEX results in a set of files sharing the
same name with different extension.
Observation files (extension .xxO) are mandatory and contain raw observations. They may come
along with several other but optional navigation files depending on supported satellite systems (for
instance .xxN for GPS navigation files, .xxG for GLONASS navigation files). The navigation files should
be included if possible.
The application only supports GPS and GLONASS satellite systems thus a set of RINEX files should
contain an observation (.xxO) and two navigation files (.xxG and .xxN). The software supports using
several observation files from a single base station (it is common for permanent base stations to split
files periodically).
The application supports files from base station antennas calibrated by National Geodetic Survey. A
complete list can be found here
https://www.ngs.noaa.gov/ANTCAL/
. Latest calibrated equipment may
not be included.
To ensure full compatibility and accurate results, your RINEX files should comply with the following
requirements:
• RINEX version: 2.x or 3.x
• Satellite systems: GPS and GLONASS
• Carrier phase: L1 and L2
• Logging interval: 1s
1
Drag and drop base station RINEX files (supports multiple files at once) onto the base station
window.
A dialog window now shows the list of selected files.
• If you are not satisfied with your selection, just select one or several files to delete from the
list and click
Remove
.
• You can add additional files by either dragging and dropping them onto that window or
clicking
Add
and browsing your drive.
• This operation can be repeated as many times as required to add more files.
2
When done, click
OK
.
The application now shows whether the base station files overlap the same time period as the
flight.
