8.5 Powering up
Note
Before executing this task, make sure that the aircraft is in clear view of GNSS satellites (outdoor, not close
to a tall building) and not close to metal objects (such as vehicles).

Press the
Power
button on the UX11 aircraft for 3 s.
The
Power
LED blinks green and the UX11 starts booting. The boot sequence is finished when the
Power
LED is solid green and the
Binding
LED starts blinking slowly.

In the
Communication
screen, select the communication link (either
3G
or
Wi-Fi
with
Delair
Link
). To Use
Wi-Fi
, enable
Wi-Fi
on the Android Tablet and connect to the correct
Delair Link
Wi-Fi
network.
Wi-Fi
information (SSID, password) of the
Delair Link
is available from the screen
display.
Note
If more than one aircraft is associated with the tablet, you have to select the correct aircraft from the
displayed list.

Tap
Bind
on the tablet.
The
Binding
LED starts blinking fast.

Press the
Confirm
button on the UX11 aircraft to validate the binding process.
The binding process is complete when the
Binding
LED glows solid green and the tablet displays
the message
Binding successful
.
8.6 Completing the pre-flight checklist

Keep the aircraft steady on the supporting foam plate and tap
Next
.
The
Checklist
LED on the aircraft starts blinking. The aircraft performs several auto checks
(distance sensor, GNSS, battery, system status, storage space, compass…). When successful:
• the
Checklist
LED still blinks green
• the tablet shows the message
Auto-check OK
with some detailed results and aircraft
information (firmware version, etc.).

Upload flight plan
screen.

Adjust the
Landing Strip
:
Positionning the landing
• Tap on the modify pencil icon (top right of the map) to open the
Landing Strip
menu.
• Make sure your Landing pattern is free of obstacles and adjust if required.
• Adjust the position of the
Landing Strip
using the
Here
button (position of the Tablet
used) or the
Aircraft
button (position of the aircraft used). For best landing accuracy, it
is strongly recommended to use aircraft location (tapping the
Aircraft
button) whenever
possible.
