All DataPath systems are built to ensure the greatest possible safety and security during trans-
portation, storage and operation. However, certain hazards are implicit in the use of satellite
communications electronic and electrical equipment, including hazards associated with micro-
wave radiation and moving parts.
General Use of Equipment
Q-Series systems are intended for satellite communication use only; no other use is allowed.
Q-Series systems must be operated only by qualified personnel, who have received system-
specific training for the DataPath product they will operate. Operators must have sufficient
knowledge to use the system properly, securely and safely.
The unit may not be operated in an ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) (explosive) environ-
ment.
General hazard for person or equipment.
Microwave radiation hazard.
Electric shock hazard.
Hand crush hazard / Risk of squeezing injuries.
Heavy lifting.
Hot surface.
Entanglement hazard/Squeezing hazard.
