Part
Procedure
Whole System
Remove dust sand and particles. Use a vacuum cleaner with soft
brush. Pay extra attention to fan grids.
Reflectors
Perform visual inspections for any damage, and make a note of
this for repairs or replacements upon return to the depot or other
logistical base. When inspecting the reflectors (main and sub
reflector, reflecting side), note that superficial scratches affecting
only the coating normally do not pose any problem. If scratches
go deeper into the carbon fiber, the reflector needs to be repaired
or replaced. Scratches on the reflectors' backsides will not affect
the transmission quality.
Cables
Check that cables and connectors are intact and in good condi-
tions.

Procedure

Remove dust sand and particles. Use a vacuum cleaner with soft
brush.
Transceiver
Check that the feed horn front foil is intact.
Transceiver
Check that the fan is freely rotating and no jarring sound is pres-
ent. The fan is a consumable product and the expected life time is
1 year at continuous use. If the terminal is used in harsh environ-
ment the life time will be reduced.
Controller
Check that the fan is freely rotating and no jarring sound is pres-
ent. The external fan is consumable product and the expected life
time is 1 year at continuous use. If the terminal is used in harsh
environment the life time will be reduced.
