9.4. IP Configurations
Logic configurations of the router and of the Ethernet interface are performed in Network Parameters
menu. Unlike the other configurations of the equipment, it is not necessary to activate the new
configuration. It becomes active automatically soon after confirmation.
The first screen of the menu is shown in screen below.

From this menu, it is possible to access individual configurations of the router interfaces, which are
explained in the following items:
•
LAN Configuration: Enabling and Ethernet interface IP.
•
WAN Configuration: Protocol and enabling of WAN interfaces. From this screen, it is also possible
to monitor the link status.
•
Router Configuration: IP address of WAN and DLCI (Frame Relay protocol) interfaces.
Configuration of static routes and dynamic routing protocols (both are optional).
9.4.1. Ethernet (LAN) Interface Configurations
Configurations of the LAN interface are shown in screen below.
In the first line, enabling of the interface is selected. Interface IP configurations are ignored for disabled
interfaces.
The router always keeps routes for sub-nets that are known directly by their IP configurations. Thus,
configuration of all active LAN interfaces in a ring topology in different sub-nets is necessary, under penalty
of routing divergence.
