To check the level, follow the instructions on the battery casing.
Use only distilled water to top up. Never use acids. The electrolyte
could boil over and cause serious burns.
Always make certain that the filling cap is perfectly closed. Never drain
the battery completely.
If the battery runs low quickly, check the voltage regulator. If negative,
recharge or replace the battery.
Warning!!
The liquid contained in the battery is highly corrosive. Avoid
any contact with the electrolyte of the battery; the sulphuric acid
solution can cause serious burns. Always protect your eyes during the
inspection to check the electrolyte level or during the eventual refilling,
which must always be refilled with the addition of distilled water only.
WARNING!!
Old, dead batteries must be disposed of through an
authorised company.
Keep cable terminals secured well and protect with grease or, better
still, pure Vaseline.
When disconnecting the battery, the earth terminal (-) must be
disconnected first.
When connecting the battery, the positive terminal (+) must be
connected first.
Keep tools and metallic objects away from the battery terminals
because they could cause short-circuiting of the terminals.
To recharge, always contact an authorised workshop.
The fuse box is easily accessed on the left side of the machine, on the
opposite side to the power take-off.
5.3
RADIATOR
Replacement or refilling of the cooling liquid must be handled with the
engine switched off and cold.
Do not remove the radiator plug immediately after stopping the engine
or during running, since boiling water could cause serious damage and
burns to those near the machine.
