OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
How to choose and wear the protective device
In order for protective footwear to perform its protective action correctly during use and in case of
accident, the size must be correctly chosen from those produced by the manufacturer, in particular
bearing in mind the following:
- when riding, your foot should not wiggle around inside your footwear;
- standing with your shoes/boots on, your toes should not touch the tip of the footwear.
It is important to wear the correct size of the footwear and to fasten all fastening systems. If the
fastening system is made of Velcro, then this Velcro should be checked periodically for wear and
kept clean to ensure it remains efficient.
When protective footwear for motorcycle riders is equipped with a system for fastening to a
motorcycle riding suit, we strongly advise wearing them with such suits in order to ensure the
highest level of protection.
For information on the available sizes for each protective footwear, consult the
Informative Note

Correct product use, integrity, and efficiency
We recommend carefully inspecting your footwear prior to each use and REFRAINING from use
whenever any parts show signs of evident wear or malfunction, until restored to complete
functionality. In particular, we recommend checking:
- correct functioning of the closing system
- thickness, integrity and cleanness of the sole and tread
- integrity of any sliders present.
When wearing waterproof footwear, ensure a totally waterproof seal in any riding position by
wearing the footwear under your pants. In fact, if you wear your footwear over your pants,
rainwater could run into the footwear.
In bad weather, we recommend protecting non-waterproof footwear with the special waterproof
boot covers available in the Dainese collection.
Should any breaks or cracks in the material or evident damage to accessories occur through use,
take the footwear back to the retailer or place of purchase and have its integrity and efficiency
checked by a Dainese service centre.
Use of the footwear without all or any of the specific accessories provided (e.g. sliders),
where
present
, is considered as improper use for which the footwear has not been designed.
Consequently, Dainese shall not accept any claims or requests to replace protective footwear for
professional motorcycle riders that has been used in an improper manner.
