5.2.2 MUTUAL DIFFERENCE OF RE-

LEASE LEVERS

1. Insert the clutch centering tool, clutch center tool

guide, and gauge ring.

2. Measure the mutual difference of release levers with

a feeler gauge.

3. If the measurement exceeds the factory specifications,

adjust the height of release lever which contacts with
a gauge ring with the adjusting screws so that the
difference will fall within the factory specifications.

NOTE

•

Apply liquid lock (Loctite #271 or equivalent) to
the adjusting screws and lock nuts.

5.2 INSPECTION FOR OVERHAUL

5.2.1 RELEASE LEVER HEIGHT

1. Measure the height from the clutch cover to the top

of the adjusting screws with a scale or vernier
calipers.

2. If the height exceeds the allowable limit; check the

clutch disc, pressure plate and other parts.
