ISCOVERY
The Router Discovery protocol is used by hosts to identify operational routers on the subnet. Router Discovery messages
are of two types: “Router Advertisements” and “Router Solicitations.” The protocol mandates that every router periodically
advertise the IP Addresses it is associated with. Hosts listen for these advertisements and discover the IP Addresses of
neighboring routers.

LAN > L3 Features > Routing > Router Discovery
folder contains links to the following web pages that configure and
display Router Discovery data:

ONFIGURATION
Use the Router Discovery Configuration page to enter or change Router Discovery parameters.
To display the page, click
LAN > L3 Features > Router Discovery > Configuration
in the navigation tree.

Metric
The Metric of redistributed routes for the given source route. Displays Unconfigured
when not configured.
Distribute Lis
t
The Access List that filters the routes to be redistributed by the Destination Protocol.
If the Distribute List is not configured, the field is blank.
