Routine Care
“Select software update source:” Field
Displays the currently selected software source and version. The Increment button and
Decrement button may be used to select newer or older software versions. The most
recent version is selected by default when the New Software Screen is displayed.
“Download software from this source” Button
Touching the “Download software from this source”
button to begins the installation process for the
selected software version. When the button is touched, the selected software
version is copied to the Angel
®
cPRP System’s temporary memory and validated. It
is not installed, however, until the operator confirms the installation from the Install
Screen. Refer to “New Software” on page 6-3 for details.
“Re-check sources” Button
Touching the “Re-check sources” button will cause the Angel
®
cPRP System to check for any storage device or network
connected to the USB or Ethernet ports for valid software to install. Useful if the
desired source was not found, or was not properly connected, at the time the
“Check for new software” button was touched.
The Angel
®
Concentrated Platelet Rich Plasma (cPRP) System should be
inspected periodically for any problems such as bent or broken switches, frayed or
twisted power cords, and loose or missing hardware. Discontinue use of the Angel
®
cPRP System if the device displays one or more of the above conditions until the
problem is corrected and it has been verified that the device is operating correctly.
Verify that the connectors, located on the exterior of the Angel
®
cPRP System, for
Data and Ethernet are intact and are not damaged.
Visual Inspection
After each use, clean all surfaces of the Angel
®
cPRP System using a soft cloth and
mild detergent or disinfectant according to hospital or center protocol. A mixture of one
(1) part household bleach to fifteen (15) parts of water (15:1) works well for most areas.
To prevent possible discoloration or damage to protective panels on the Angel
®
cPRP System, do not use cleaning products such as iodine, Betadine, benzol,
zylene, acetone or any other abrasive type of cleaning product.
Particular care should be observed when cleaning the centrifuge lid and the touch-
screen on the Angel
®
cPRP System. Do not use abrasive cleaners for these areas.
Note: Clean the platelet sensor using a mild detergent.
PRECAUTION
When cleaning the platelet sensor, do not use bleach, abrasive
materials or solvents as they may cause damage to the sensor .
Use a mild detergent .
