Uploading Web pages to the QM-RMCRX
The QM-RMCRX provides a built-in Web server for Crestron e-Control
applications. The QM-RMCRX allots 2.5 MB of memory for “user files” such
as Web pages, mailbox, and the compiled SPZ program file.
NOTE:
The default HTTP/web host port is 80. The Crestron web pages need to
“talk” to the Crestron port running with the program (CIP port 41794).
VisionTools Pro-e
In most cases, you create a VisionTools Pro-e (VT Pro-e) browser project to
generate the Web pages for uploading to the QM-RMCRX. VT Pro-e is
Crestron's Windows-based software for designing the page layouts and
functionality of user interfaces such as touchpanels and Web browsers. All
pages are organized within a project that is then compiled and uploaded to the
touchpanel or Web server. When designing a project, you use drawing tools to
create objects such as buttons, sliders and text that serve a control system
function or decorative purpose.
For Crestron e-Control projects:
When a Crestron e-Control browser project is created, VT Pro-e automatically
creates a folder with the name of the project and a .web extension. This web
project folder itself contains a Java subfolder, in addition to all the HTML files
that are sent to the QM-RMCRX. In VT Pro-e, the target type is BROWSER.
For Crestron e-Control 2 projects:
When a Crestron e-Control 2 project is created, VT Pro-e automatically creates a
folder with the name of the project and a .xweb extension. The web project
folder contains all the necessary Crestron e-Control 2 files. In VT Pro-e, the
target type is XPANEL.
In designing and creating a browser project, keep in mind that you must assign
an IP ID to all the project pages and specify the IP address of the QM-RMCRX.
