APPLYING GREASE TO THE PTT

13.5.0 

Attach the hose to the grease nipple. Make sure that you inject grease into the PTT until grease  

   

starts to flow out through the bleed hole that is adjacent to the grease nipple.

13.6.0 

Remove the outlet hose from the grease nipple.

13.7.0 

Apply a thin film of grease to the ends of the two trim rams (Refer to Figure 13.7). 

13.8.0 

Tilt the outboard up fully, and then operate the tilt locks through their full range 3-4 times.

13.9.0 

Stow the tilt locks and clean the area.
